Impact and stress resistance
UHPC is reinforced with steel or synthetic fibres to give it extremely high impact and stress resistance. They allow it to absorb and dissipate the energy generated by impacts or explosions and reduce the risk of structural damage.
Low Porosity - Durability
This type of concrete has low porosity, making it very dense and durable. Its specific composition means its mechanical properties are maintained even under extreme conditions, making it a robust material that ensures reliable protection.
Limited Cracking and Debris Projection
The fibres in UHPC act as reinforcements which limit cracking. This ability to limit crack propagation is essential to maintaining structural integrity after an impact or explosion, and especially to containing the projection of potentially dangerous debris.
Adaptability and Flexibility in Design
UHPC can be cast into elements of different shapes and sizes to offer flexibility in the design of protective structures. It can therefore be adapted to a variety of architectural requirements whilst retaining its high strength.
